Humor for Writers – Nailing the writer
A writer walks into his agent office one day. “Any good news for me in today’s mail?” he asks. “No, says the agent. ”Be patient, I’ll call you when I get news.”
The next day, the writer is back. “Any good news for me in today’s mail ” he asks again. “No,” says the irritated agent. “No point in wasting time coming over her, I will call you as soon as I hear of anything.”
The next day the writer is back. “Any good news for me in today’s mail?” he asks, cool as cucumber, tapping his fingers on the agent’s desk.
This time, the agent is really furious. “If you come once more with that question, I’ll nail your f***ing typing fingers to your mouth to keep you quiet!” he shouts.
The next day, the writer is back again. “Any nail for me in today’s mail?” he asks.
Dumbfounded, the agent answers “No, why”
“Any good news for me in the mail today?” answers the writer.
