Thanks for putting this together. Did notice another missing press: Twenty or Less Press. Also wonder if you have ever thought of evaluating the giant houses also in terms of how they are doing with epublishing. I really have no idea what kind of success, for instance, Simon & Schuster is having moving into the epublishing realm. Are they dwarfing the small presses in the epublishing domain as much as they do in the print world? Or are there some Davids that are standing up to the Goliaths. Also, it WOULD be great if you compared, contrasted, and rated the different publishing platforms because there are so many now–Lulu, SmashWords, BookBaby, and it is quite time consuming to even start to attempt to compare their features, reach, etc. Thanks again, though, for what you have done!
Thanks Mark, there are many, many other presses missing, as they keep popping up all the time. Am adding them as fast as I can, given the research time involved. The situation with large presses is changing all the time, and the kind of research you are talking about is massive, so I’ll keep in mind, but do not hold your horses.
A list of publishing platforms would indeed be great, and it is on my “to do” list. I hope to get down to that in December of January, though neither Lulu, Create Space nor Smashwords would be included apart as a measuring standard for the myriad of publishing platforms popping up here and there and everywhere.
Wondered if you have checked out Otherworld Publications yet? Would love to see your rating of them!
Oh and just a recently opened one..but has some major backing behind.

Thanks Susan, Smashwords is not in the list because Smashwords is for self-publishers. It is a publishing platform rather than an epublishing house, and the list is for epublishing houses only.
I might run a list of publishing platform in the future but still have to study the question. For the time being, am updating the epublishing houses list.
